As we all have heard and know that, vampires are powerful, fast and mysterious blood-sucking ghosts. But do vampires really exist only in myths? Absolutely no. There’s a surprising fact proving that vampires do exist besides being popular in various horror stories, myths, legends and folklores.

Because, some stars are actually vampires. They are blue or blue-white in colour. They absorb hydrogen from their nearby stars (usually red in color because they are older than them) in order to burn hotter and to maintain its blue hue, brightness and prolonged youth. As a result, the “vampire star” obtains an extended life. Meanwhile, the “victim” star is left with its core exposed, resembling the appearance of a much younger star. This astronomical phenomenon is defined as “Stellar Vampirism”.
