An Appeal to Repair the Waterlogged and Damaged Road near Sagufta Central Jame Mosque
Honourable Prime Minister,
I hope you are doing well by the great grace of Allah. But we are not. I am currently living at a place in Dhaka which falls under your parliamentary constituency. So it seemed better to me that I inform you about the sufferings of the people of our area. Before you are the Prime Minister of our country, you are the Member of Parliament representing this area. It falls under Pallabi Thana. Well, I am talking about a road here right before the Sagufta Jame Mosque. This road is always covered with some amount of water—be it summer, be it winter, and not to mention the rainy season. In the rainy season, if it rains for only about an hour, the road gets completely submerged under water, creating immense, unspeakable and unbearable suffering for the people of this area. It is only usual for vehicles to overturn when it rains. So when it rains, the auto drivers charge us more to take us to our destination through a different route. It has been like this for ages. I wonder if there was no authority there for all this while who could possibly fix this road.
I, therefore, urge you on behalf of the people of this locality that you take proper measures to fix this road immediately, save us from the sufferings and thus, serve the people of the country, which is your main motto, as you have mentioned many times and oblige us thereby.
